Energy
Bus Program
NECC's Energy Audit Teams have been conducting the energy audits in
various plants of the Turkish industrial sectors since 1990 with three
vehicles equipped and latest measuring equipment. Usually the teams
of 3 engineers have carried out energy Bus Programs within approx. 3-5
days to create energy conservation awareness in industry, to identify
the energy saving potentials and to help the establishment of energy
management in plants.
Energy Bus Program Steps
· receiving application from the factory,
· pre-visit to the plant,
· confirmation of the study,
· data collection and measurements,
· data analysis and energy conservation projects identification ,
· Report preparation,

Up to day
NECC's Audit Teams have conducted energy audits at approximately 60
plants. Furthermore, NECC carried out a project on 'Rational Use of
Energy in Turkish Industry' in cooperation with JICA. In the scope of
this project started in November 1995, energy audits were carried out
and energy saving measures were identified for selected 5 plants and
also expanded to the other similar plants of small and medium size industry
as policy development studies on rational use of energy in Turkish industry.
The project completed with a conference to announce project findings
in December 1996 in Ankara and Izmir. According to the project results
evaluations, energy conservation potential of totally approximately
2.7 million $ and 7000 TOE have been annually identified in four plants.
