INTERNATIONAL SOLAR ENERGY SOCIETY – TURKISH SECTION ULUSLARARASI GÜNEŞ ENERJİSİ TOPLULUĞU TÜRKİYE BÖLÜMÜ (UGET-TB)

UGET-TB

International Solar Energy Society – Turkish Section (UGET-TB) was founded on 1992. The aim of the society is to promote all activities directed at the better utilization of solar energy.

Among the activities UGET-TB has carried out in recent years, some are listed below:

·         Photograph and dia exhibition on 21 June 1994, as Sun-Day activity.  

·         Participation to the international paint competition in Hungary dedicated for solar energy. Turkish children won three prizes.

·         A “Solar Energy Symposium” was held in Diyarbakır city in cooperation with Clean Energy Foundation (TEMEV) and Diyarbakir University. A “Solar Energy” booklet was also been distributed.

·         UGET-TB has actively participated in “Habitat 96” of UN.

·         A “Solar Energy Systems” seminar was held in Mersin in 1997, on Sun-Day. Some discussion panels were also organized.

·         In cooperation with Turkish standards Institute, honoring plates were presented to the solar collector companies with standard certificates.

·         A “Sun Day Symposium and Fair” was held in İzmir in 1998.

Currently UGET-TB has 75 members involved in the solar energy.
